I saw this commercial while watching the daily show on hulu. When I saw it I pretty much squee-d. Apart from it being adorable, I love the use of texture and transparency in the characters and backgrounds. I generally don't like flat computer animation because a lot of it just screams  "LOOKIT ME! I'M MADE ON FLASH" (ala aqua teen hunger force) but I feel like the animator did a good job of making the most of flash animation, and not just making everything look like it's sliding around the screen.

It's photo time part 2. Sad thing is, this post is almost identical to my last photo post. Hahaha.  I know ALL OF YOU want to see pictures of my plants, right? :D

So, if you don't already know, I have been sewing felt cake all weekend. My friend Kimi is having a dessert-potluck party/ house warming (not because she moved, but because her awful roommate moved) party next Saturday. Last time I hung out with Kimi we went to ranch 99 and she saw some stuffed cake and was impressed, so I thought I would make her some cakey little stuffies.  (wtf did i just say?) Mostly inspired from BitterSweet's blog post about her felt cakes, I have been having more fun than I thought I would.  Originally I was going to make Kimi one slice of cake, but now I have five pieces planned.



Unlike Hannah, I made my slices 1/6th of a circle instead of 1/8th. So they're much pudgier. I really should have started over and made them into 8ths, but I was already on a roll. Oh well. I am going to make toppings for them later. I am still trying to figure out how to make felt whipped cream D:  I did practice making a little strawberry though!  Once I finish i'll try to post about them again.  I really wanted to make a carrot cake one, but I don't have any felt which would be a good color for it ;_; The green one is supposed to be Matcha by the way. 

So I'm hoping to find a little pink cake box that I could put these guys in so when I take them to the party Kimi will actually think I brought a cake.  I already feel totally guilty, because I called her yesterday asking what her favorite kind of cake was and by the time I hung up it sounded like she was really excited about the cake i was going to bake!  D: I still need to think of what I'm going to actually cook for the party. Hahaha. 

I was so disappointed with the sketch, but this doesn't look half bad. I'm still terribly rusty ;D



I should have tried harder when drawing the plants, lawl. oh well. Capotto is kcanadensis 's character. His shovel is looking very sad. XD

Con: i don't have a place to live in Oakland yet

Pro: i will be working as a book arts lab assistant next year
Con: that job doesn't pay and i need to find a real job.

Pro: i'm alive.
Con:  my car blew a tire while i was driving to Tucson from LA

Pro: i am alive!!!
Con: my car rolled completely over while i was in it.

Pro: i didn't get injured badly
Con: my car got all the injuries for me ;____;

Pro: i'm not dead
Con: my beautiful car Woofie is dead.

Pro: no one else was in the accident or was affected by it
Con: Woofie is gone.

Pro: most of my shit in the car was okay.
Con: my scanner is ruined

Pro: MY COMPUTER AND HARD DRIVE IS OKAY
Con: i am scared to death they're going to stop working any minute now.  (i found my computer bag 2 or 3 yards away from the crash when i got out of the car)

Pro: my mom and brother got me a goddamnmotherfucking Wii as a graduation gift OMFG
Con: i feel pretty guilty about it, seeing as i ruined my car.


I've been kinda vomitty and headachey since the accident, but i'm positive it's just from stress.  i have a lot of headaches on a normal basis so i'm not especially worried about my health.   HEY GUYS I DIDN'T DIE. OMFG. i felt like i was rolling in that car for HOURS.

i'm going to go play some wii.  so far i just have wii sports and SSB:brawl.  once i figure out how to play brawl DOES ANYONE WANT TO PLAY WITH MEEE? i'm super pissed Captain Falcon isn't in it, he better be unlockable, or else i'm going to have to find a new character to play ;__;

ughhh. i am so beat up! soon i will be defeated.

it looks a lot like the other card i made.  OH WELL.  it's so sad that doing this extra wrk is really the only time i draw for my classes...

So i really must be a horrible person.

i invite people to go to the zoo so i can feed them sandwiches and cupcakes and have fun for my birthday (which i'm not even emphasizing, i don't give a damn, it's just an excuse to have a party ) and more than half the people i invite ARE TOTALLY WISHY-WASHY.  how hard is it to say yes or no?  it's not like i'm asking people to come and do my taxes for me! 

at this point it's really just rude.  i've contacted people multiple times asking if they're coming or not.... i need to know how much food to buy. 
it's gotten to the point where it's just hurting my feelings

anyway, i made another amigurumi whale! he's green this time, and much smaller (because i was crocheting wrong last time)

I made him some little flippers on my own! and i also changed the pattern so that the tail worked better.

and she replied like "oooh no you didn't bitch, let's meet at the flagpole after school!" (well... not so much like that, more pompous and annoying)

you know, my class emails, the one my address is on, it's for my classes to communicate, and for my teacher. it's not for idiots to tell me to submit art to some shitty website that's going to not exist in 3 months anyway.
